Rock Creek Christmas Light Show - Hansen, Idaho

Like most families in the Magic Valley area we have made it a tradition to make the trip into the South Hills for the Rock Creek Christmas Light Show. We layer our clothes, brew some hot coffee and cocoa and head up with our smiles and earmuffs on. The show is put on by the Wojcik family and their huge pet camel named Bull. The light show is one-of-a-kind and in years past you can walk around the show and see the lights close up at your own pace or if you have people in your party that don't have their snow/ice legs you can drive through the exhibit. The event happens every year around Christmas and is sponsored by donations of patrons. One fun part about the event is signing the guest book that the family provides and looking on the world map they have posted to see just how far people have traveled to see the lights!
In years past the event has been held at the Wojcik family home, 12 miles south of Hansen but due to high traffic and icy road conditions they have decided to move it to the Rock Creek Store which is about 6 miles south of Hansen. Admission is free but we always bring some cash to drop in the donation box to help pay for the costs of running such an elaborate show of lights.
Kids of all ages are encouraged to feel Bull, the Christmas camel with carrots provided by the family. More information can be found on their Facebook page about hours of operation and when you can catch Santa there! What are some events in the area that you have made a family tradition?
