Idaho's Personalized License Plates

Last year for my birthday my husband gave me personalized license plates for my car. Hellllllo best gift EVER. My sweet ride now sports "IDAMO" plates. If you've driven around Idaho for very long you've probably noticed that a lot of people have personalized plates and there is a reason for that...They are super inexpensive to get!

In addition to vehicle registration fees, this customized plate will cost $25.00 for the first year with a $15.00 renewal fee each year thereafter. Souvenir plates may be purchased for $21.00.

Not only is it inexpensive to customize your ride, it's also really easy to check the availability of the plates online. 

There are a few simple rules to follow for your personalized plate:

1. Personalized plate text must be tasteful (in any language).
2. Plate choice must contain at least one alpha character (letter) and have no punctuation. The letter 'O' and the number '0' look the same on a license plate. Therefore, your choice may not be available if the other character is already in use on an existing plate.
3. Spaces are allowed anywhere in the plate choice but do consume available spacing.
