208's Finest - Favorite Things - March 17th, 2014
People always ask me how I find out about all of these cool Idaho events or where to buy fun Idaho gear...The answer is simple, I get out and do things! Once you find something you like, you'll meet other who like the same type of stuff and will recommend other cool things. It'll set off a chain reaction and if you're like me, you'll love it and want to share with others!
On my days off I love to explore the down town area of any town I happen to be in. Down Town Twin Falls happens to have a few of my favorite places to find gifts to treat myself and others.
The Cookie Basket on Main Street in Twin is home to the best sugar cookies I've ever had and honestly, I've treated myself there more than I have others. The Cookie Basket has been open since 1991 in it's cozy down town storefront where owner Jayne Fischer offers custom cakes, baskets, cellophane plates, cookies, muffins, candy bouquets and more! Anything you're sweet tooth can dream of, Jayne and her team, Laurie McNabb & Keyene Wood, can make!
There are few things better than opening up a gift bag full of your favorite cookies. I recommend the Cookie Basket for gifts of every occasion! If you're ever in down town Twin Falls stop by the Cookie Basket, say hello and try your best to just pick one cookie. Tell them the Idaho Bucket List sent ya!
If you're more of an online shopper for unique gifts Etsy.com is the place for you. I'm a sucker for pretty much anything with an Idaho on it so when I came across this adorable etsy shop called lost little things I fell in love. Tara George from Boise, Idaho has a variety of Idaho themed knick knacks and jewelry that I simply couldn't resist, including this Idaho screen printed fabric hoop.
