The Blue Lakes Inn - Twin Falls, Idaho

The way I see it there are two types of people in this world: those who plan ahead and those who wing it. For the most part my husband and I seem to be the kind of people who wing it when we travel. We know where our finial destination is but we seem to make a lot of unplanned stops along the way which makes for some fun stories! Whether you're the weary traveler passing through town or you're the person who booked your hotel a year in advance we've found the prefect place to lay your head: the Blue Lakes Inn in Twin Falls.

From the moment we stepped in the door we felt welcomed. We were greeted by staff that had genuine smiles on their faces. We were so impressed by the front lobby alone that we asked for a tour of the facility to which the staff happily obliged. Our tour guide, Danae, showed us to the workout room equipped with cardio machines, a very nice sauna and even a vending machine for your post workout M&Ms. We then walked though a number of rooms, each different but equally inviting. I instantly noted the details in the first room of the sheets that have "BLI" embroidered on them. Danae explained to us that the whole staff at the Blue Lakes Inn helped decorate the rooms. She herself hung the burlap around the lighting fixtures.

We took a slight detour from the rooms when we saw the beautiful wooden enclosed patio area. Had it been warmer outside we would have enjoyed our breakfast on one of their two patios. We made a quick stop in the conference room, which would be perfect for a group meeting of the minds, and then headed upstairs to see the suites.

I always hated as a kid when my family would travel because the youngest, being me, always got stuck sleeping on a cot or the matted down carpet of a hotel room. The Blue Lakes Inn has you covered if you have a family of more than four. Their bunk bed rooms are simply adorable! They sleep six comfortably with two full beds and two twin beds hovering above.

After so much to see our tour finally made it to the suites. Both beautiful in their own way. Each suite is sporting the best linens at the Inn, one with a walk in steam shower, one with a sauna, both with an extra living room area with sleeper sofa, gorgeous custom art work by Anna Gorin and huge televisions. It was nearly impossible to decide which suite we wanted to stay in but after a long debate my husband and I finally agreed on one.

Our stay seemed to go entirely too fast. The bedding was perfect, soft and fluffy. We stayed up late watching one of the two "50 televisions in our room. After a wonderful night of sleep we followed our noses down to the lobby for breakfast. Quiche, home made cinnamon rolls, bacon and more laid out in front of us as if we were royalty.

All-in-all our stay at the Blue Lakes Inn was more than we could have hoped for. We highly recommend the Blue Lakes Inn for long stays or even just a weekend stay-cation.
